VIRTUAL KNOWLEDGE CENTER ON SERVICES

About the APEC Virtual Knowledge Center on Trade in Services

The APEC Virtual Knowledge Center on Services is an interactive hub for service stakeholders looking for information on all services-related outputs by APEC, current policies and agreements affecting trade in services, current research on trade in services, as well as best practices of services-related policies and programs within the 21 APEC member-economies.

The APEC Virtual Knowledge Center on Trade in Services complements the ongoing services-related initiatives and work programs of APEC fora by being an interactive linking-pin that connects service providers, policy makers, and practitioners with each other.

The APEC Virtual Knowledge Center on Services envisions knowledge creation in an accessible and inclusive way. It has three major objectives:

  1. To create an innovative, user-friendly virtual hub for workshops and seminars targeted to further improve services trade through capacity building and provide a knowledge exchange portal;
  2. To build connections between industry experts, national services organizations, academe, and other stakeholders;
  3. To establish a one-stop resource for services providers (especially MSMEs), practitioners, and policy-makers by making available links to current policies and agreements affecting trade in services, as well as service-related outputs, studies, and programs by APEC. The Knowledge Center will maintain a searchable database containing links to services-related work of APEC.
